Wrexham Thirds rounded off
their season with a thumping success in a North East Wales Championship game at Corwen who
also played their part in a thrilling game. It was also the last league game for 54 year
old Wrexham prop Steve Jarvis who is retiring after playing 35 years of rugby, much of it
at the top level. Steve will play his last game at Jarvis kicked 3 of Wrexhams
conversions at Corwen, outside-half Carl Pugh kicked 6 more and the rest of the points
came from tries by flanker Wayne Roberts (4), number eight Keir Harding (2), wing Peter
Blakemore (2), hooker Mark Jones, lock Jason Griffiths and scrum-half Ross Roberts.

to turn up and they were unable to field a side. |

Wrexham Thirds hauled themselves off the bottom of the North East Wales Championship with a fine second-half performance at Rhos after trailing by 3-8 at half-time. All of the visitors points came from their threequarters, centres Paul Price and Andy Lee and wings Peter Blakemore and Jason Reano notching tries while outside-half John Mann kicked 2 penalties and 3 conversions. John Mann and lock Tim Roberts were in outstanding form for the victors. |

Wrexham, who had previously beaten Abergele Seconds by 56-0 at the same venue, came up against an Abergele side fortified with First Team players and found themselves outgunned in their North East Wales Premiership game. Hooker Huw Davies and centre Gwyn Edwards claimed a try apiece for the home side while locks Tim Roberts and Huw Evans impressed throughout. |

Andy Lee enjoyed himself in the centre and notched a try and two conversions while Jason Riano, Dave Green and Steve Jarvis claimed a try apiece. Second-row Dave Thomas kicked a penalty to complete their success. |

Wrexham Thirds, strengthened by a number of Youth Team players, held Division B challengers Llangollen to a 7-0 half-time lead at Dinas Bran. Flanker Sam Wright kicked a penalty for them in the second-half, but Llangollen finished the stronger side with a 26-3 victory. Wright and number eight Matt Arnold were the outstanding performers for the hard working visitors |
