April 20th Oswestry (H) (L) 26 - 0

A new-look Wrexham side beat English neighbours Oswestry in difficult conditions at Bryn Estyn Road.  The wet ball made good rugby difficult, but Wrexham took an early lead through prop Connor Williams and they extended their lead before half-time through Jak Roberts and Ryan Jones with Jonny Davies converting, giving Wrexham a 19-0 lead at the break.  Wrexham failed to capitalise on numerous try scoring chances in the second period, with their lone score coming from Captain Matthew Evans with, once again, Jonny Davies converting.  Gruff Jones was voted Man of the Match after a great display from the number eight.

April 13th Shrewsbury (H) (L) 15 - 10

Shrewsbury fought out a narrow, 10-5 victory against Wrexham in this Anglo-Welsh encounter.  Wrexham started well, but the visitors took the lead after some slack tackling let the Shrewsbury centre in under the posts and when the fly-half converted Wrexham trailed 7-0.  However, Wrexham hit straight back through second-row Nathan Langley and at the break the deficit was only 2 points.  In the second period Wrexham came out all guns blazing and battered the Shrewsbury try-line, but could not execute the final, try-scoring pass.   Once the away team had weathered the storm they forced Wrexham into a moment of indiscipline, for which they were punished, with the penalty being slotted between the uprights for the final score of the game.   Prop James Wilson was voted Man of the Match thanks to a sterling performance in the pack

April 6th Mold (H) (W) 5 - 0

Wrexham triumphed 5-0 in this close fought encounter against local rivals Mold.  Wrexham dominated for long periods of the game thanks to their rampant forward pack, but they had to wait till the last minute of the first half to secure the only score of the game.  Winger Josh Murphy went over in the corner after some slick handling from the home side’s back division had put him clear.  Although Mold battled valiantly, they rarely threatened the try-line and Wrexham closed out a narrow victory.  Inside-centre Jonny Davies was voted Man of the Match, due to his trademark powerful tackling and forceful runs.

Dec 16th Chester (H) (L)18 - 0

Wrexham turned in a spirited performance against a strong Chester team in the cross-border derby match. Howeve, it was the visitors who grabbed the spoils by 18 - 0 , the real damage being done in a three-minute spell just before the break when the hosts yielded two soft tries. Trailing 0-15 at the start of the second period the Wrexham boys made a huge effort to dent the Chester defence, but it proved watertight. Flanker Gruffudd Jones was the pick of a gallant forward effort by the Wrexham team.

Dec 2nd Shrewsbury (A) (L) 5 - 0

The under 15s failed to make best use of the strong wind
at their backs in the first half with the try line  begging more than once. Shrewsbury managed to use the conditions slightly better when they ran in the only score of the game mid-way through the second period.

Nov 18th Mold (A) (L) 31 - 0

The under 15s defended bravely at Mold but rarely threatened
their opponents try line.

Nov 11th New Brighton (A) (D) 22 - 22

Wrexham under15s fought out a thrilling 22-22 draw at New Brighton.
Following excellent driving from the Wrexham forwards second row Nathan Langley opened the scoring,  and when scrum-half Thomas Lea dived over for the second the visitors were flying. However,  New Brighton hit back with a couple of tries, before debutant Scott Jones rounded off a fine move in the corner to restore Wrexham's lead. The hosts had not finished and they edged in to a 17-15 lead before the break.  In the second period, Nathan Langley went over for his second try, converted
by Jonathon Davies before the home side squared matters with the last play of the game.

Nov 3rd Colwyn Bay (L) 19 - 17

Wrexham under 15s were unable to capitalise on their forwards dominance at Colwyn Bay, suffering a narrow 17-19 defeat in a ding-dong encounter. The home side started brightly, scoring an early converted try before left wing Gareth Bennett rounded  off a fine move to reduce the deficit.
Trailing 5-7 at the interval , Wrexham struck first in the second period when centre Jonathon Davies, who was returning from a long injury lay -off, drove over before converting his own try to edge the visitors in front.  However, the hosts hit back with  two tries to open a gap, before hooker James Price crashed over for the final try of the game.

Oct 14th Caldy (A) (L)  33 - 0

Wrexham under 15s started brightly at Caldy, and during a fairly even first half were only trailing 0-7 at the interval. During the second period, however, the hosts cut  loose to run in 4 tries and secured a 33-0 victory. Number eight Gruffudd Jones was the pick of the Wrexham forwards.

Sept 30th Whitchurch (A) (L) 29 - 7 Wrexham under 15s went down 7-29 at Whitchurch after putting in a spirited performance against strong opponents.   Ben Lee, playing his first ever game at scrum -half, scored Wrexham's only try and was also voted Man of the Match. Nathan Cooke kicked the conversion.
Sept 23rd Ruthin (H) (L) 12 - 7 Wrexham under 15s turned in a gutsy performance against neighbours Ruthin, before going down to a 7-12 defeat. In yet another entertaining match between these sides,  it was the visitors who went into an early lead when a chargedown led to a converted try.  Ruthin enjoyed most of the possession and it was no surprise when they added another try to build up a twelve point lead by the interval. Wrexham fought back bravely in the second period and second-row Ryan Jones drove over to reduce the deficit with Nathan Cooke converting.
Sept 16th Welshpool (A) (W) 80 - 5

Wrexham under 15s cantered to a 80-5 victory when they visted Welshpool. Second row Nathan Langley led the way with 4 tries, Nathan Kaitani - Jones and captain Matthew Evans both scored two, and Tyler Edwards, Nathan Cooke, Thomas Lea, Gruffudd Jones, Josh Murphy and Iain Elrick all touched down. Nathan Cooke added two conversions and Wil Roberts kicked three to complete the scoring.

Sept 9th Telford (H) (W) 35 - 3

Wrexham under 15s began the season playing some excellent rugby in their first ever fixture with Telford at Bryn Estyn. The visitors proved to be spirited oponents but in the end the home side ran out 35-3 victors. Captain Matthew Evans led by example, scoring three tries with left wing Gareth Bennett grabbing a brace and full back Nathan Kaitani-Jones sealing the victory with the last try of the game.
Nathan Cooke kicked a penalty and converted one of the tries.
