A disapointing Wrexham performance who looked tired and totally outclassed by a Mold team fielding a number of N Wales players. Periods of good possession by Wrexham failed to produce any points this largely due to a well organised and strong Mold defence.

A good positive performancefrom the Wrexham team who were behind throughout the game however, never gave up and ran in 3 well worked excellent Tries. This was very much a game of two half's with Chester scoring most their points in the first half. Wrexham's game improved significantly in the second half in both defence and attack when they scored their 19 points and held Chester to 10 points. Wrexham were up against very mobile Backs who ran in 3 tries in quick succession, 2 of them immediately from the KO. The Under 14’s won by 17 – 15 thanks to tries by Rob Evans, Daffyd Joseph, and Meredydd Francis plus an all important conversion from Tom Robinson. The game was as close as the score suggests, and it was the excellent combined play between the home forwards and backs which won the day for the home side. There were also some great individual performances from Man of the Match Shaun Ferrari at prop and Aron Davies at scrum-half.

This was a fiercely contested game that Wrexham could and should have won with some good possession from the forwards but handling all over the field let them down. Dominating in the scrum, Wrexham had early pressure only to loose the ball which New Brighton drove down field to score in the corner, another handling error allowed the visitors to lengthen their lead going into the half time break. Wrexham with a number of changes improved, with some good rucking and continued to pressure the visitors line, being held up twice over the line, but with no further score in the second half the game remained Wrexham 0 New Brighton 10.  MOM : Meredyth Francis

Despite the loss of a number of key players to N Wales duty, Wrexham ran out comfortable winners 46-7. This was a great all round team performance in a game which was contested at every phase. Away at Ruthin for their first game of the season. Ruthin won this hard fought game 17-10. Wrexham can be well pleased with this all round team performance, beaten by only by the individual skills of the Ruthin No 10. Wrexham scorers: Callum Gwatkin and Daffyd Jones. Man of the Match was Tom Robinson who was quite excellent in every aspect of the game. An encouraging start to the season, with some good Rugby to follow.
