Dec 2nd Nant Conwy (H) (W) 17 - 5

Wrexham Under 13’s triumphed over Nant Conwy by 17 – 5, their tries coming from Lewis Wynne, Rhys Williams and  Russell Jones with a conversion by Ed Evans. This was an even contest between two very committed teams. Wrexham had the edge in the backs and scored all of their tries by moving the ball wide. Outside-half George Stanyard added an extra dimension to the game with his excellent distribution of the ball to the home threequarters.

Nov 11th New Brighton (H) (W) 41 - 12

New Brighton had only 13 players, so Wrexham loaned them two “volunteers” to make it a full 15 a side game, Derri and the formidable Jack Morris played for New Brighton for the first half. At kick off, New Brighton took Wrexham by surprise, with a fast run, getting in a try within the first 30 seconds of the game down the left wing. The conversion was virtually from the sideline, and New Brighton’s kicker failed to make the posts. Wrexham responded with Alex Matthews getting the first Wrexham try, which was in a similar position to New Brighton, and Wrexham’s Louis Gray could not quite make the angle. First half tries followed by Harry Cartwright, Andy Myers and Eddie Edwards, with at total of 2/4 conversions for Louis. New Brighton pulled back another try, with a successful conversion before half time. The Wrexham/New Brighton subs were swapped at half time, with Andy Myers and Jacob “Titch” Williams wearing New Brighton shirts. The second half saw Wrexham holding New Brighton, and Eddie Edwards scoring a further try, followed by James Burns, with the final try of the game being scored by Adam Coates, completing a hat trick for Wrexham’s flankers. Second half kicks for conversion were by Harry Cartwright 0/1, and Louis 1/2.

Nov 4th Whitchurch (A) (W) 12 - 10

A closely contested game, played in misty conditions. Whitchurch started the game with a considerable amount of possession in Wrexhams half until Wrexham drove them back to their own try line. Wrexham’s James Burns then chalked up first try of the game in the far corner with Louis Grey taking the conversion from this difficult angle. Direction was good, but unfortunately, the ball dropped short of the posts. As play progressed towards half time (U13’s play 25 minutes each way) Whitchurch forced Wrexham back into their own half, and eventually scored a try after 30 minutes of play but failed to convert it. Second half saw Wrexhams Eddie Edwards making a superb run from halfway, looping back to place the ball under the post for Louis to take an easy conversion. Whitchurch scored a further try just to the side of the posts but failed to convert it, ending the game 2 points behind Wrexham.

Oct 21st Caldy (W) 31 - 20

A late fixture change for Wrexham after Lymm cancelled. Wrexham proved a strong side once again, with 26 points scored to 5 in the first half. Substitutions to the Wrexham squad changed the pace of the match in the second half, allowing Caldy to get back into the game. Try scorers David Bowen (4) & George Jones (1). Conversions Louis Grey 2/3 and Eddie Edwards 1/2
