| Apr 18th | North Wales Rugby Tournament | WINNERS | Wrexham under 11`s won the prestigious WRU North Wales Rugby Tournament following a great days rugby at Mold. In their pool Wrexham drew their first game 0-0 against Pwllheli before beating Dolgellau 7 tries to 2 with tries from Rhys Thomas (3), Blake Turner, Ethan-Rhys Williams, Ryan Taylor and Capt of the Day Cameron Allen. Next up was a terrific Ruthin team but a try from Allen saw Wrexham into the semi final against Newtown. Wrexham won 6 tries to nil courtesy of Turner (2), Thomas, Taylor, Eddie Partyka and Alfie Matthias. In the final Wrexham again faced Ruthin fresh from seeing off strong rivals Mold and a spectacle of rugby was now played by both teams. Both teams gave it their all but after full time the score was 1 try apiece with Thomas scoring for Wrexham. With the final on a knife edge Wrexham dug deep and produced the winning try with Turner going over leaving Wrexham to be claimed Tournament Champions. |

Wrexham played with width and pace winning 50-7. Capt Cameron Allen saw tries from Rhys Thomas (6), Man of the Match Blake Turner (2), Ethan-Rhys Williams (2), Eddie Partyka, Keiran Scott, Nathan Prothero and Josh Hallam . Williams kicking over all 14 conversions. The second game against Tamworth saw a very tight first half with Wrexham leading 14-7. In the second half Wrexham picked up the pace finally winning the game 56-7. Tries from Capt Turner (2), Williams (2), Partyka, Thomas, Allen and Scott. Williams again with immaculate kicking and Alfie Matthias excellent winning Man of the Match. |

Wrexhams under 11`s wrapped up the seasons
home games unbeaten against a determined Mold team who battled
throughout. The first game saw Mold take the
lead 14 - 0 and the
boys knew they were in for a real battle. Wrexham fought back taking the
lead but Mold's classy centres attacked at
every opportunity and never allowed Wrexham to really settle. In the end
tries from Blake Turner (3), Rhys Thomas, Alfie Matthias, Eddie Partyka
and a trade mark interception try from Capt Ethan-Rhys Williams saw
Wrexham win 49-33. Man of the Match Curtis
Duffy outstanding
and Williams slotting home all conversions.
The second game was equally tough with big hits from both teams. The Wrexham backs handled superbly and are at last passing it out wide. Tries from Capt Turner (2), Partyka, Ryan Taylor and Williams who again slotted home all conversions. No man of the match second game |

At
home to Newcastle,
Wrexham
played two games doing the basics well. With the
forwards playing well
the backs opened up in both games and some great
handling was seen as they put on a relentless display of
attack and offload with support coming at
all angles.
The first game saw Capt. Cameron Allen at his best directing the boys with tries coming from Blake Turner (2) and Man of the Match Alfie Matthias (3), Ethan-Rhys Williams, Eddie Partyka, Ryan Taylor and Allen, final score 45-0. The second game was similar to the first with tries coming from Rhys Robinson (3), Man of the Match Williams (3) whose offloading and running was terrific, Taylor and captain Turner. |

Wrexham under 11`s played touring team Southport
and were very disciplined in their approach taking the game to the
visitors from the off. They were soon rewarded on the scoreboard. Capt
Cameron Allen had a great game at scrum half and was really vocal
throughout. Blake Turner had a terrific game scoring 5 tries
and was very destructive in the contact. Other tries
came from Allen (2),
Ethan-Rhys Williams (2), Nathan Prothero, Alfie Matthias, and Eddie
Partyka. Kieran Scott had an
outstanding game in the forwards and really stepped
up to the delight of the coaching team who awarded him Man of the
Match
with Williams
making up the score with
conversions.

Wrexham`s under 11`s pulled out the stops to win in emphatic
style against Rhyl. Capt Blake Turner saw new
player Alfie Matthias win Man of the Match for
a terrific all round performance topping it off with a fine try.
Other try scorers were Cameron Allen, Ethan-Rhys Williams, Turner, Ryan
Taylor, Rhys Thomas,
Rhys Robinson and Eddie Partyka, Williams and Matthias on conversion duty, final score 50 - 0 to Wrexham. |
| Feb 7th | Denbigh (A) | (W) 19 -14 |
Wrexhams under 11`s away
to Denbigh ended the home teams unbeaten run this season in a terrific
end to end game. Capt Cameron Allen won Man of the Match for an
outstanding all round game - terrific at scrum half keeping Denbigh off
balance, great tackling and an individual try adding to Rhys Thomas`s to
see Wrexham gain an early 14 - 0 lead. Denbigh however are not the class
team they are for nothing and they came back 14 -14 all to put the game
on a knife edge. Wrexhams backs kept up the pressure with some great
runs from new boy Eddie Partyka keeping
the home team pegged back. On at least two
occasions however Denbigh were driven back from over the Wrexham try
line in an outstanding defensive effort. The game was finally settled
when a superbly floated miss pass from Blake Turner set off Wrexhams
full back Ryan Taylor who capped off
a fine individual performance as he jinxed
his way through the defence to score Wrexhams winning try.

Wrexham under 11`s forgot about their recent long break and blew away the cobwebs with two fine performances against a determined Oswestry team. Capt Ethan-Rhys Williams saw tries from Blake Turner (2), Cameron Allen, Rhys Thomas and Nathan Prothero with Williams converting. The boys tackled well with Rhys Thomas (Man of the Match) as his best scavenging up the loose ball and encouraging starts for new boys Conner Savage and Eddie Partyka, final score 33-0 to Wrexham. The second game was a lot closer with Oswestry playing controlled aggressive rugby making some fine line breaks and were unlucky not to score in the dying seconds with Man of the Match Nathan Prothero making a try saving tackle. Wrexham under 11`s away to Newcastle found their
stride early on to test the home team in muddy conditions. Capt Blake Turner
had a great game with hooker Josh Hallam winning Man of the Match for some
great work in the lineout and scrum adding a couple of telling runs. Tries
for Wrexham came from Rhys Thomas (4), Cameron
Allen (2)- again outstanding at scrum half, Rhys Robinson, Turner and
Ethan-Rhys Williams who also slotted over the conversions, final score 50 -
0 to Wrexham. The second game was very similar to the first with Rory Williams having a great game, Burberry Bagnall impressing and some great runs from Nathan Prothero .Capt Turner again led from the front with tries from Thomas (2), Rhys Robinson ( Man of the Match), Turner, Allen, Williams R and E-Rh Williams. Conversions Williams and Bagnall. Final score 45 -7 Wrexham. |
| Nov 22nd | DENBIGH (H) | (D) 4 - 4 | A depleted Wrexham under 11`s played at home to a cracking Denbigh team in what will surely turn out to be one of the boys finest games this season. Denbigh scored two early tries in the first half. At this stage Denbigh could have run away with the game but the boys, under constant pressure battened down the hatches and held on in a terrific defensive display. Despite a number of injuries but with no replacements available the boys had to dig deep. As their confidence grew they picked up the pace and leveled the score two tries apiece before Denbigh again scored a fine try. However superb tackling from Nathan Prothero, Burberry Bagnall, George Morris and Blake Turner (Capt and Man of the Match) kept Wrexham in the game. Wrexham drew level at three tries a piece before a trade mark interception try by Ethan-Rhys Williams put the boys in front. However Denbigh continued to battle and a late equalizing try fairly reflected a truly cracking game, final score 4 tries a piece, (tries -Williams (2), Cameron Allen and Ryan Taylor). |

Wrexhams under 11`s got off to a fine start with
three early tries against visitors Llandudno. The visitors played a big part
in what was a cracking game and countered Wrexhams attacking play
throughout. Wrexham added two more before half time but Llandudno came back
very strongly just before half time and as the game restarted after the
break scored two fine early tries. With their confidence up the visitors
really got stuck in as the momentum swung their way. Then the old heads of
Wrexham started to play and tackle as they can and closed the game down
strongly scoring two final trys to seal the game 49 -14. Capt Blake Turner
saw Ryan Taylor earn Man of the Match (outstanding tackling/running), tries
from Taylor (3), Rhys Thomas (2), Cameron Allen and Jordan Jones with conversions from Ethan-Rhys Williams (6) and Allen." |
| Nov 8th | Rhyl | (W) 50 - 0 | Wrexhams under 11`s playing away to Rhyl put in a fine team performance to come out winners 50 points to nil. The home team had some big strong runners who really tested the defence on a number of occasions but they just did`nt quite get the score they deserved for their hard work. Cameron Allen was at his best and Blake Turner put in some great tackles. Newcomer Burberry Bagnall had a cracking game and looks a fine prospect. Trys from Rhys Thomas (3), Blake Turner (2), Cameron Allen, Burberry Bagnall and Ethan-Rhys Williams. Williams Capt for the day was Man of the Match with a fine all round performance making some telling runs, kicks and tackles, he slotted over all conversions. |
| Oct 11th | FLINT | (W) 50 - 0 | Wrexham under 11`s playing at home to Flint pulled out the stops to win 50 - 0 against a plucky Flint team who continued to harass throughout. Capt Cameron Allen saw tries come from Rhys Thomas (4), Blake Turner(2), Nathan Prothero with Allen adding a pair himself. Ethan-Rhys Williams converting all kicks and a terrific performance from new player Burberry Bagnall earning him the Man of the Match award. |

A new look Wrexham under 11`s playing away to Ruthin kept their heads and fought back from a 14 point to nil deficit to level the game 14 all. However in the last play of a very tight game Ruthin scored the deciding try to win the game 21 -14. New players Burberry Bagnall and Rhys Thomas impressed with Thomas scoring a try and Nathan Prothero adding the second. Capt Ethan-Rhys Williams converting and Cameron Allen Man of the Match for a barnstorming performance. The second game against Flint saw Thomas earn Man of the Match scoring 4 tries, Allen 2, Ryan Taylor and Williams adding one apiece, Williams converting, 50 - 0 final score for Wrexham |
