| April 13th | Rhyl (H) | (W) 35 - 5 | Wrexham U11s put in an excellent performance at Home against Rhyl on Sunday to run out 35-5 winners. The Wrexham pack proved too strong for Rhyl with Owen Evans (Hooker) bursting through the middle to score the first try. Not to be out done, Wrexham's back line soon got involved, putting Saul Darlington over in the corner for Wrexham's second. Wrexham continued to dominate and finished the first half with a further 3 tries for a 25-0 lead. Rhyl put in a much stronger 2nd half and competed well, scoring a consolation try. However, Wrexham added a further 2 scores to end the game on a high note. Wrexham's 7 tries were scored by: Owen Evans (2), Saul Darlington, Elliot Davidson-Brookin, Rhys Crump (2), Chris Thatcher. Man of the Match was awarded to Nathan Billington who put in some excellent graft and hard work in the forwards, creating the platform for some effective Wrexham team play. |
| Mar. 13th | Nant Conwy (H) | (L) 42 - 7 | Wrexham try scorer and Man of the Match was Elliot Davidson-Brookin, who had an excellent debut game for Wrexham. |
| Feb. 10th | Collegiate (H) | (L) 35 - 0 (L) 30 - 0 |
Another tough test for Wrexham U11s on Sunday resulted in 2 wins for the visitors from Liverpool. Wrexham again showed some good rucking and ball carrying from the forwards, but were unable to convert this into points. The back line were under pressure for much of the 2 games but showed some promising flair, especially in the 2nd game. Wrexham Man of the Match in the 1st game was Luke Griffiths and Lewis Jones in the 2nd Game. |
| Feb. 3rd | Mold (H) | (L) 30 - 5 (L) 35 - 5 |
Mold proved too strong on the day for Wrexham winning the first game 5-30 and the second game 5-35. The result was not surprising considering Mold were blessed with 8 N.E. Wales U11s in their squad. What was pleasing though was the way Wrexham pressured Mold during periods of the game. The Wrexham forwards proved a match for the Mold pack for much of the game, but eventually succumbed to some excellent back play from the visitors. Even so, Wrexham can be very proud of their performance over the 2 matches considering this is the first season for the squad. The try scorer for Wrexham in both games was Owen Evans. Man of the Match was Owen Evans in the first game and Mike Adams in the second game. |
| Jan. 27th | Llandudno (A) | (L) 28 - 0 (W) 28 - 0 |
Wrexham and Llandudno shared the honours on
Sunday in a 2 game clash at Bodnant |
| Jan. 13th | New Brighton (H) | (W)70 - 0 | Wrexham U11s showed some impressive rugby by running in 14 tries against New Brighton on Sunday. Wrexham started well scoring two tries in the first 5 minutes through Owen Evans and Luke Griffiths. The visitors played some good Rugby in response, but were unable to convert this into points. Wrexham stuck to the task well and scored 3 more tries in the first half. The second half began brightly for New Brighton with some excellent running down the wings, but Wrexhams forwards began to dominate, which resulted in the home team running in an additional 9 tries for a 70-0 win (no conversions taken). Try scorers were Owen Evans (4), Luke Griffiths (4), Joshua Williams, Mike Adams (3), Chris Thatcher, Stephen Kaitani-Jones. Man of the Match was awarded to Rhys Crump for his tireless work in the forwards, which resulted in several Wrexham scores. |
| Nov. 11th | New Brighton (A) | (W) 28 - 12 | Try Scorers - Luke Griffiths, Owen Evans, Leighton
Davies, Lewis Jones. Conversions - Mike Adams (2), Lewis Jones (2) |
| Oct. 7th | Rhyl | (W) 24 - 0 | Wrexham U11s continued their excellent start to the season away at Rhyl on Sunday with a 24-0 win. Wrexham were into their stride early on and scored the first try which Lewis Jones converted for a 7-0 lead. Things continued to go Wrexham's way and some excellent play soon resulted in a second try from Luke Griffiths which was duly converted by Lewis Jones for a well deserved 14-0 lead. Rhyl had a period where they played some good Rugby, but were unable to reply and Wrexham scored for the third time with Lewis Jones converting his own try. A good day was completed in style for Wrexham when Rhys Crump scored Wrexham's fourth try of the day to end an excellent 24-0 performance. The Man of the Match prize was awarded to Lewis Jones for his excellent performance on the day. |
| Sept 30th | Rhos | (W) 46 - 7 | Wrexham U11s had their first fixture away at Rhos on Sunday 30th Sept and the sizeable crowd of spectators were treated to a thrilling 25-25 draw (5 tries each). Wrexham took an early lead in the 2nd minute through a well worked try down the left wing, but Rhos soon replied through a try of their own. The 2 teams then swapped scores with Rhos scoring again late to end the first half with a 4 tries to 3 lead. The 2nd half started badly for Wrexham with Rhos breaking down the centre to score again and increase their lead to 5-3. This is hows things remained despite some exciting Rugby and excellent defense from both sides. However, Wrexham's forwards began to take control towards the end of the game and scored twice in the last 3 minutes to end the game 5-5. An excellent result for an inexperienced squad who show plenty of promise of good things to come. |
